PHILOSOPHY
At Spark Design Lab we believe in developing site-specific architecture that responds to the ‘Genius Loci’ or the sense of place of the site. Once the character of the site is fully understood and appreciated then we can deliver a building that is sympathetic to these inherent qualities. Through doing this we aim to create a building that is more than the sum of its parts.
Architecture should respond and adapt to the budgetary constraints and programming needs of the client. At the same time, it must remain spatially economical without restricting its function. Our aim is to discover how people will really use the spaces that we are designing for them – in order to deliver an outcome that is not just a collection of spaces that are wanted, but also spaces that are useful and beautiful.

Our business launched in 2015. We are Hobart based Architects with many years of industry experience. We are a small crew who are skilled, efficient, passionate about architecture and planning and dedicated to seeing projects come to life.
